Mount Rainier
 
The Mount Rainier in the Cascade Range, is the highest mountain of the Pacific Northwest, and in the Washington state it is the highest mountain. In the southeast of Seattle it is the large active stratovolcano. The Mount Rainier National Park, which is created in 1899, this is a must see destination when visiting to the Washington state.  The Mount Rainier is the most topographically prominent mountain in the contiguous United State. Thee Mt. Rainier is the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, and which is on the Decade Volcano List. The Mount Rainier which can potentially produce massive lahars which can threaten the entire Puyallup River valley.  The Native Americans called the Mount Rainier as Talol, Tacoma or Tahoma.  George Vancouver gives the Mount Rainier its current name, in the honor of his friend Rear Admiral Peter Rainier. United States Board on Geographic Names in 1890 declared the mountain will be known as Rainier.  The Geographical of the Mount rainier is such that this peak is located on the east of Eatonville and southeast of Seattle and Tacoma. In the 128 ultra-prominent mountain peaks of the United states, the Mount Rainier is ranked third. The Mount Rainier which is a stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc that consists of Lava flows, debris flows and the Pyroclastic ejecta and the flows.  The Volcanic deposits in its earlier was estimated more than 840,000 years old and is also an part of the Lily formation. A Proto-Rainier or an ancestral cone prior is present-day cone due to the earlier deposits.  The volcano is such that, it is highly eroded, with glaciers on its slopes, and which appears mostly of Andesite. In the past, there was an large debris avalanches, and also produce enormous lahars due to the large amount of glacial ice present. The Mount Rainier National park, which is created in 1899. The parks numerous glaciers, snowfields, wildflower-filled meadows. It has 26 glaciers, 63 different species which calls the park home, and 382 lakes the park which is an travelers delight. The Mount rainier which is the most prominent peak in the Northwest and it is also an popular destination for hiking,biking,climbing and camping. The Mount Rainier National Park is open for all years though winter access is only available from the Ashford - Nisqually Entrances on the southwest corner of the park on the way to Paradise and Longmire. The Mount Rainier National park has five main access areas.
